Professor Abass Olajire, a senior lecturer at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, is dead. According to reports, Olajire slumped during a Jummat service at Ansarudeen Mosque at Oke Ado area of Ogbomoso while observing Jummat prayer on Friday. He was confirmed dead at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

A 22-year-old soldier identified as Amos Adorable Sobosu Royal has been killed while on national duty with the Nigerian Air Force. Amos was killed just after motivating school pupils in North-East region of the country. The burial ceremony of the deceased who is from Egbebiri-Biseni in Yenegoa local government area of Bayelsa, is scheduled for September 25.

Voluptuous actress, Nkechi Blessing, has opened up on how a sister set her up with her boyfriend to confirm if she was a virgin. Former Minister of Aviation during the President Olusegun Obasanjo government, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. He was presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the APC, and governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Mr. Fani Kayode said that he was led by the Spirit of God in his decision and that he joined the APC to help for the unity of the country, adding that he was against anything that would cause the disintegration of Nigeria. The governors he mentioned were Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ben Ayade of Cross River State and Bello Matawale of Zamfara State.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, is hale and hearty. This was revealed in a statement on the agency’s Facebook page minutes after it was reported that Bawa had collapsed during an event on Thursday at the Presidential Villa and was hospitalized in Abuja. “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty. This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat. He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” the statement read.

The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has spoken for the first time after he collapsed while delivering a speech on Thursday. Bawa was talking at an event organised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, when he fainted. The EFCC boss was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors told him he was dehydrated. Bawa, speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, explained: “While giving my goodwill message during the programme organised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), there was a sort of dizziness on me and I had to excuse myself from the stage. And of course I went straight to the hospital where the doctors confirmed to me that everything about me is okay except for the fact that I’m a bit dehydrated and need to take a lot of water. Straight away from the hospital, I went back to the office and now I’m back at home.”

Abdulrasheed Bass, The Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was rushed out of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, after slumping at a programme, on Thursday, September 16th, 2021. Bawa was giving his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he suddenly stopped speaking. He was talking about a man the commission arrested in Ibadan, Oyo state, with 116 SIM cards when the incident happened. Bawa had stopped talking and covered his face with his right palm, saying, “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue.” He was assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami and other senior officials at the event, but the anti-graft czar slumped on his seat he was immediately rushed out of the seat of power to a hospital in Abuja.

A 23-year old graduate of law from Buckingham University, United Kingdom, Mr Toritseju Emmanuel Jackson, has passed on in Abuja. The Conclave reports that he was allegedly stabbed to death on the on the premises of a hotel in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. It is reported that the tragic incident happened in the early hours of Sunday, September 12, 2021. According to a family source who spoke with The Conclave, the victim was at home when he received a call from one of his friends late in the night of September 11, 2021, who invited him to meet up with him somewhere in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. The family source said that about 4.24 am, a call was put to a member of the family from Wuse Police Station, asking family members to come forward to identify his corpse. He said seven people, including three staff members of the hotel, where the incident occurred, had been arrested and remanded in Wuse Police Station.
