TOP TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN NAMIBIA

Namibia is a very special destination made famous by its dramatic desert landscapes and unique wildlife.

THE NAMIB-NAUKLUFT NATIONAL PARK

The Namib-Naukluft Park is a national park in Namibia. Established in 1907, it is the largest game park in Africa and the fourth largest in the world.The Namib-Naukluft National Park contains both the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountain Range and it has a beautiful setting.

Etosha National Park is the second largest of Namibia’s game reserves after Namib-Naukluft, it is Namibia's top wildlife destination and one of Africa’s greatest safari destinations
It is one of the best places in the world to spot endangered white and black rhinos, while other bucket list animals include lions, cheetah, elephant, and leopard. It's also a great place for birding, with 340 different avian species, but be wary of spiders.

THE FISH RIVER CANYON

The Fish River Canyon in southern Namibia is the largest canyon in Africa, as well as the second most visited tourist attraction in Namibia.
It is second only in grandeur to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The canyon is formed by the Fish River, one of the longest in Africa.
It is absolutely magnificent and breathtaking in its immensity. The canyon features a gigantic ravine, in total about 160km (100 miles) long, up to 27 km wide and in places almost 550 meters deep.

SOSSUSVLEI

Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia. It is one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia.
Because of its fascinating and surrealistic landscapes, Sossusvlei is one of the most photographed places in Sub Saharan Africa. The area has been the setting of a number of commercials, music videos, and movies.

SWAKOPMUND

Swakopmund, known as Swakop in Namibia, is the country's biggest coastal town and a resort for Namibians on holiday.
The city is situated in the Namib Desert and is the fourth largest population centre in Namibia.
The nearby sand dunes provide several activities such as sandboarding, horse riding and quad biking while the beaches of Swakopmund provide plenty of surf and sand.
