Oye Owolewa has become the First Nigerian-American to be elected into the US Congress on a Democratic Party ticket.
The 31-year-old politician from Kwara state in Nigeria, who holds a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacy from the North-Eastern University, Boston, is the first Nigerian congressman in the country’s history.
